WOW!

I've been using hair pastes for several years, looking for the perfect thing. Something gentle on the smell, but smells nice, something pliable, but holds strong. Something that doesn't melt in 112-degree desert weather. And most recently, something that's all-natural and healthy for my hair/scalp. THIS STUFF IS IT. 100% buying this from now on. I LOVE the smell. And it's crazy, but it pairs perfectly with the spray-on deodorant from Vitaman as well. I use 1/2 as much with this mud as I did with other pastes, and it holds REALLY well. Do yourself a favor at at least give it a shot.

great hold and gives a natural matte look which was exactly what I was looking for.
they use safe ingredients that not only style, but nourish your hair. I also use the ‘hair food’ which I use with this product. I can already notice the improvement in my hairs volume from these two products!

Blew away my expectations!

I am a pomade man. I like shine, I like a good medium hold, and I especially like VitaMan's offering. That being said, with thr Black Friday sale going on, I figured I'd see what another product would be like, and boy am I pleased. I have a good full head of thick hair that's a medium length, and this product works flawlessly. I dont have a ton of experience with wax/clay products, but I was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to scoop out and emulsify in my hands. Doesnt take a whole lot to work into my hair, and it washes out from both my hands and head very easily. When they say this is a high hold product, they arent kidding. I usually end my styling with some hairspray, but I really don't need to when using Matt Mud. One thing in particular I noticed is that my hair feels so soft after I apply this. I'm very used to a pomades silky softness, but the mud is more of a feather-y soft. The finish definitely is matte, though the picture might not totally reflect that (my hair has a pretty decent natural shine), and while I very much love higher shine products like pomade, I can appreciate a more subdued finish. Oh, and I used a combination of the sea salt spray along with the mud for the picture. The spray creates the volume, and the mud holds it in place all day.

Overall, I was very surprised at how much I like this. I don't think it'll replace pomade as my main styling product, but I definitely have loved using it, and I can see myself getting more in the future!
